Love makes the world go round

Hello Sugar Lumps...!

Today's blog is written because a friend of mine, who is a downright romantic, told me that I have the most quirkiest views on 'LOVE'.

NO. I won't be talking about 'What is Love?' or 'How to fall in Love' or its side effects or whatever-the-fudge (I won't be using bad words. This blog is for a family audience).

Today, I intend to share the types of love that I have seen around in my lifetime. Whether personally or my friends or family. I am sure you've seen it too. So let's boogie and here starts the first kinda love.

The Puppy-Dog Love

This is simplest of 'love' out there. 1 Boy. 1 Girl. Very much in love. They're constantly thinking about each other. 24x7 texts & calls. You know the drill.

Of course I've seen this mainly with couples who are in their honeymoon-phase of their relationship. But, there are a few who continue to do so even after this phase. Kudos, to them 'coz I can't seem to understand how they manage it.

Well anyway, what I fancy about this sorta 'Love' is that, it is simple. There are no complications. No hassles. They just want to be with each other. A fight lasts no more than a day and they patch up. You get it.

Simple. Clean. Fun.

Everyone with this 'love' between them - Keep at it.

The Love-The-Way-You-Lie Love
Okay you've all heard Eminem's Love the Way You Lie (lovely song, isn't it?). If you haven't then, WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING HERE? GO LISTEN TO IT!

Now I'm guessing you've seen the video too (I'm sure all you boys have! Megan Fox got your attention in it, didn't she?). Get back to reality boys. Megan Fox is not where I was getting around. The song/video describes a very fiery, dysfunctional, turbulent relationship.

The couple love each other, hate each other, God-knows-what each other and still need to be with each other. I, for one, have never understood this sorta 'love' fully. But I've seen people who do go all out in the relationship.

This 'love' is complicated. Its messy. It's not something I understand, personally.

So, if hurling abuses or throwing-of-utensils is your thing, please go ahead. Whatever works your jelly. Just keep the 'love' alive.

The Ishq-Wala-Love Love

Let me be clear. No, I am not talking about some weird Student-of-The-Year threesome.

This 'love' is special. Have you ever loved someone so much that you'd give up him/her for their happiness? Now I know, most of you out there might be putting their hands up like eager little kids but mind you, its tough.

For the one's who have felt this strongly for someone, you guys are great. True Gems.

For the one's who know people like them and are blessed enough to be with the True Gems, what can I say? You lucky dog, you. Don't lose your Gem.

For the one's who know people like them and don't happen respond to their feelings for whatever reason, you just lost out on something monumental.

So, a 'love' beyond love, that's what you get in this one. I hope you strive to get a Gem for yourself.

Mujhse More-than-'Fraandship' Karoge?
Oh I see some smiles on your faces. You know what I am talking about already, don't you? *Evil Smile*

So you have a best friend. You share everything with him/her and before you know it, crafty little cupid strikes and you've fallen heads over heels in 'love' with your bestie.

And now you're stuck. To tell or not to tell. That's the question.

Now all of you will go through one of the four said situations:

  • So you pull your socks up and decide to tell your bestie. He/She is ecstatic. Your bestie feels the same way. Hurray for you! The world rejoices with you two and you two have your happily-ever-after.

  • You pull your socks up. He/She accepts. Everything seems La-Di-Da and then you break-up. Your 'love' goes down the drain and your bestie won't see your face again. If you've gone through this, I hope you've recovered, brother!

  • You pull your socks up. You tell your feelings. He/She declines and you get (read with a booming voice) FRIENDZONED. Ouch! Sticky situation to be in. Your 'love' remains incomplete. So most of you just move on OR the few Gems continue to love 'em secretly and you have your 'Ishq-wala-Love'. I just hope you Gems find something beautiful. You deserve it.

  • Last option: You don't say anything. You let it be. Life just goes on for you and probably you remain always in love with him/her or you remain forever alone.

But the catch out here is, it's just better to tell your feelings, no? I mean, consider yourself 30-40 years down the line, waking up next to someone you don't fancy. At least you won't be waking up with regret that you didn't really know your bestie's feelings.

So you decide what's better. Pump up your moxie and just find out what written in your fate.

Now folks, that's all from my side. That's all the 'love' in the world I've seen. If you've seen more, share your views. I'd love to hear your stories.

Till then fall in love. Give love a chance. Be intoxicated with it.

P.S. For some weird reason, I had the song - Love Makes the World Go Round by The PowerPuff Girls, humming in my head, while writing this blog.

Until next time... Adios Amigos..

Happiness Bubble

Aloha Cheesecakes!

Today's post will talk about happiness. No, don't flip, I do not intend to give 'gyaan'. My blog ain't no Speaking Tree.
I just want to share my views on this already-widely-discussed topic.

What is happiness?

Now the Oxford dictionary defines being happy as
'feeling or showing pleasure or contentment'.

Lets break it down, shall we?

I believe happiness is a state wherein you're most at ease. A state which lets you be in the present, in the moment. It can be as big as getting a promotion, coming to know you're pregnant, winning a massive lottery (Ooh.. I see some of you smile at that thought).

OR

It can be as small as hugging someone you love, playing a game of Ludo with your family. Hell, eating a big plate of Sunny Side Up Eggs makes a person like me happy.

Now, I am a 9 to 5 working girl. Everyday whilst taking a walk to my office, I see some of my colleagues with their dead walk and slumped shoulders (I realise it must be lack of sleep, but everyday? Really? I doubt that). And EVERY MORNING, I always wonder how they survive through the day and their tight schedule with that energy. For God's sake, where is your Mojo?

Mind you, I love my job. Unlike some of the others, I do love staring into the computer and cracking the code. But that's off the point. Now, the same sloppy-walk people are the most transformed beings when office is over. They are light on their feet. They have a different smile on their face.

The one's who are separated from their respective lovebirds after 9 long hours, they huddle up in one corner with their cellphones and have a nice pink hue on their face. And I think to myself 'Now you're living in the moment. You found you Mojo'.

Of course, you don't have to be smiling like a buffoon to 'live in the moment'. Sometimes, just doing something that gives you ecstasy or doing something that liberates you is the answer to be in the moment.

Just FYI, by liberating yourself, I don't mean doing drugs. If anything, am against it.

What I mean is, doing something that makes you alive. Like dancing. All you dancers out there, you know what I am talking about. The emotion that runs through you when you feel every beat of that music resonating in your body, from your tiny little finger to your swiveling hips (which I hope don't lie like Shakira). Now that's some emotion, eh?

Everyone, what gives you that kind of emotion? It could be painting, singing, listening to music.
Something. Find out.

Treasure it. It's your's to savour. In the darkest of times, this very emotion shall be your Midnight Light.

So, folks, try and live in the moment. Be happy.
If you're not happy, kindly let others be. Don't ruin someone else's spunk, alright?
Remember your 'treasure'. Feel alive.

So lemme know what makes you happy.

What makes you tick? Leave your comments below (if you want to).

Until next time, Adios Amigos!

There's a first time for everything

Hello beautiful cupcakes!

So my first blog in all these years. And when I say 'all these years', just for your information, I am NOT that old. 21 years and 10 months old to be exact.

Now when I decided to start blogging, I was in a bit of a pickle. I kept thinking what do I blog about? What do I write? Will so-and-so topic be interesting? Will people like it? So forth. I even asked my friends what they'd like to read about.

After much thought (and to some point, brooding), it finally ticked that WHY should I write about what OTHERS want me to write about? It's MY blog. I will write what I WANT to shout out. Whoever is reading this can

  • love it,
  • hate it,
  • laugh at it,
  • cry if they find it down right preposterous,
you get the idea... Bottom line is, read it, let it tickle your brain.

I'll write about things that mean to me. Nothing insanely philosophical. No fancy words. I'm not here to write essays. I mean, I have read blogs from other people and sometimes I just happen to go 'OMG! I need a dictionary!'. You hopefully, won't get that from me.

So keep reading. Wait for my posts. I will write soon.

Till then, Adios Amigos.....
